KD*P Pockels Cells
CASTECH manufactures both transverse and longitudinal electrode configuration Pockels cells in potassium dideuterium phosphate (KD*P) utilizing proprietary crystal growth, fabrication, and polishing techniques.
KD*P Pockels cells require less operating voltage due to the high electro-optic coefficient of KD*P crystals. For the KD*P Pockels cell with lateral electro-optical effect, dual crystal design has been employed to minimize driving voltage.
BNC connectors is optional for ease of impedance matching. Pockels cells integrated with Brewster polarizer, wave plate or ceramic plate are also available. All the Pockels cells are equipped with protective windows with high transmittance AR coating to prevent the products from contamination and moisture so as to provide adelquate assurance of the product performance and durabilit.
